We are absolutely delighted to share some fantastic news with you. Our Cold Smoked Chalk Stream Trout, sliced and ready to enjoy, has been awarded a prestigious Great Taste 2-star award by the Guild of Fine Food.
For those who haven't come across it before, Great Taste is widely regarded as the most respected food and drink accreditation scheme in the world. Every product is blind tasted by a panel of independent experts, chefs, food writers and producers, so a 2-star award is a genuine mark of exceptional quality rather than just a label on the pack.
Why This Trout Is So Special
Our Chalk Stream Trout is reared in the pure, fast flowing waters of Hampshire's chalk streams. Because the fish swim constantly against the current, they develop a natural firmness and a clean, delicate flavour that sets them apart from standard freshwater trout. We then cold smoke them using our tried and tested method, giving a light, refined taste that many customers tell us they prefer to smoked salmon.
